After sending a HTTP request to a server, the server responds with (among others) a Status Code which indicates the outcome of the request made to the server.
Within the iSHARE schemeScheme, the HTTP standard concerning response codes is followed as established by the IETF. Please refer to the IETF website for further specification. Within iSHARE the HTTP response codes 401, 403, 406, 409 and 412 are most relevant.
